Jean Paul Gaultier Show at the de Young

Just saw the Jean Paul Gaultier show at the de Young museum in San Francisco and it was fantastic! My wife and I have seen the previous two fashion exhibits of Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga , and this one was definitely the most entertaining. You can tell that Gaultier has a lot of fun doing what he loves and it comes across in his work. The coolest part of the show is that he has projected faces onto the mannequins like the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland, so they talk and sing to you during the exhibit! There are amazing works of art in these fashion pieces, including a leopard print that is actually made up entirely of beadwork @ over 1000 hours of work to create. It is a must see, even if you don't follow fashion you will come out inspired and with an increased respect for the work of Haute Couture...I highly recommend it!
